Above is the flowchart for the steps required to export a container or a less than container shipment from Malaysia. The explanation of the steps involved is below.
FULL CONTAINER LOAD
Step 1
Tamadam will receive a booking confirmation from the client.
Step 2
Tamadam will open a job file.
Step 3
Tamadam will submit a delivery request to the haulier.
Step 4
Tamadam will arrange for an empty container to be sent to Tamadam Bonded Warehouse for stuffing.
Step 5
The client will send the Export Invoice and Packing List or alternatively we can arrange our despatch to collect from the customer’s premises at a minimal cost.
Step 6
Tamadam will submit the K2/K8 forms through EDI (SMK) for online submission to customs.
Step 7
Customs will issue the registration number to Tamadam.
Step 8
Tamadam will print the hardcopy of K2/K8.
Step 9
Submission of hardcopy K2/K8 and Export Invoice to customs by Tamadam.
Step 10
Tamadam will make arrangement to stuff the empty container.
Step 11
Tamadam will then fax an advice to the haulier for collection of the (now) laden container.
Step 12
Laden container will be hauled to port by haulier.
Step 13
Tamadam will submit the hardcopy K2/K8 and Export Invoice to customs at Wisma Kastam.
Step 14
Clearance of container at Klang Container Terminal (KCT), Klang Port Management (KPM) or Klang Multi Terminal at West Port.
LESS CONTAINER LOAD
Step 1
Tamadam will receive a booking confirmation from the client.
Step 2
Tamadam will open a job file.
Step 3
The customer will send the Export Invoice and Packing List or alternatively we can arrange our despatch to collect from the customer’s premises at a minimal cost.
Step 4
Tamadam will book a truck to pick up cargo from client.
Step 5
Tamadam will declare the K2/K8 forms through EDI for online submission to customs.
Step 6
Customs will respond with a receipt.
Step 7
Tamadam will submit K2/K8 and Export Invoice to Customs.
Step 8
Upon submission, Tamadam will load the cargo onto the truck.
Step 9
For nonbonded cargo, the customs form used is K2 and no customs sealing is required.
Step 10
For bonded cargo, the customs form used is K8 and sealing is required.
Step 11
The truck will deliver the cargo to the port.
Step 12
Submission of hardcopy K2/K8 and Export Invoice to customs by Tamadam.
Step 13
Unload cargo at Klang Container Terminal (KCT) /Klang Port Management (KPM) /Klang Multi Terminal at Container Freight Station (CFS)’s warehouse.
